Argentina in a wine glass...
... thanks to Alamos Winery
For more than 100 years Alamos has been striving to bring Argentina closer to every wine connoisseur. Intensive research and unbridled passion are behind every single bottle of Alamos. In the high altitudes at the foot of the Andes, this winery produces tasty, accessible and authentic Argentine wines.
The Mendoza wine growing region
The mountains on the label are a tribute to the high, mountainous landscape of Mendoza. The Alamos (Spanish for poplar) border the high vineyards (1000 to 3000 meters) of Mendoza and Salta. There are very few vineyards that combine altitude, climate, sunshine and natural irrigation. This combination has been recognised by the Alamos winery and every year it creates wonderful wines.
The winemaker behind the wines
Lucía Vaieretti lives a lifetime in Mendoza and is deeply rooted in viticulture. Her family has been working in viticulture for 40 years now and she has been working in the vineyards since she was young. This was the basis for her deep and joyful connection with the vineyards of Mendoza.
"Even then, I knew that we were in a special place." (Lucía Vaieretti)
Varietally pure wines
Alamos gives us pure grape varieties, hand-picked, selected and carefully vinified wines. It goes without saying that at an Argentinean winery, the typical local grape varieties may be
not missing. But you can also look forward to the red wine from Cabernet Sauvignon and the white wine from Chardonnay.
