Bio-dynamic and innovative
The family winery Alois Lageder is synonymous with the highest quality standards in viticulture and winemaking, for a sustainable, holistic corporate philosophy and for a wide range of cultural and artistic activities. The winery, founded in 1823 and now run by Alois Lageder and Alois Clemens Lageder in the fifth and sixth generation, combines tradition and innovation.
The Alois Lageder wine range represents the extraordinary diversity of the South Tyrol region and its wide range of grape varieties. The wines are made from grapes that are grown in the Lageder family's 50 hectare vineyards according to biodynamic principles, as well as from grapes that are grown in the vineyards of long-term winemaking partnerships. This close cooperation with contract winemakers from different areas of South Tyrol is an essential part of the company's history. The sustainable approach in agriculture was also extended to the architecture of the winery. Bringing nature into the home "was the aim of building the new winery, which was inaugurated in 1995. The project was soon recognized as a harbinger of a boom in contemporary architecture in South Tyrol.
