The mansion of the Di Lenardo family and the stately cedars next to the prestigious entrance create an impression of generosity, permanence and Mediterranean charm.
Already since the beginning of the 19th century, the Di Lenardo family produces wine in the village of Ontagnano near Udine. Today, 38 hectares of own vineyards belong to the winery and they only use their own grapes.
Over the last 15 years, the company has undergone a progressive transformation. The vineyards were replanted with carefully selected clones, the yield is strictly limited, the cellar is equipped with the latest technology. Most importantly, Massimo di Lenardo is highly motivated to produce outstanding, characterful wines. He shows that Grave del Friuli wines are created that are in no way inferior to the beauty of the beautiful landscape.
One of his central themes is the terroir. Each of its varietal wines comes from a single layer, which has the best conditions for the respective grape variety. His wines perfectly reflect the terroir.
