A journey from the South of France to Argentina
The Bousquet family was born in Carcassonne in the South of France and can proudly look back on 4 generations of history in wine making. With a lot of passion, wines of the highest quality are vinified day after day. And it is precisely this passion for wine that has led Jean Bousquet to Argentina.
It all began with a holiday
1990 - only a holiday in Argentina was necessary to fall in love with the country, the people and the wine. And exactly the third generation - Jean Bousquet - fell head over heels in love. The winegrowing love fell on the Gualtallary Valley. Picturesque, lonely and high up in the Tupungato district of the Uco Valley in the Mendoza region of Argentina. Jean Bousquet wanted to stay here and vinify organic wines. And he staid...
Helping hands from the family
The daughter Anne Bousquet and her husband Labid Al Ameri travelled to Argentina in 2002 and could not resist the charm and the idea of sustainability of the vineyard. They began to invest in the Domaine Bousquet. In 2005 Labid Al Ameri supported his father-in-law with the construction - in 2008 the daughter also joined the winery. In 2011, they both took full responsibility for Domaine Bousquet on a full-time basis.
Domaine Bousquet is currently one of the 20 largest Argentinean wineries in terms of exports and is a leader in the segment of organic wines.
