Domaine William Fèvre
Domaine William Fèvre - finest Chablis wines
1959 marks the birth of the Domaine William Fevrè estate in France. Initially 7 hectares of vineyards were cultivated, but over time more and more parcels of land were added: today the estate covers 78 hectares, of which 15.9 hectares are classified Premiers Crus vineyards and 15.2 hectares are in Gran Crus vineyards. William Fèvre is one of the largest landowners in Chablis.
The soils around Chablis originated in the geological stage of the Kimmeridgium and are characterized by schlier and limestone. They exhibit a high degree of minerality and freshness - characteristics that are inherent in the growing number of wines grown here and serve as a model for many wine producers worldwide.
The William Fèvre winery works very carefully and with great passion for the wines. All vines are cultivated using organic farming methods and the ripe fruit is picked and sorted by hand. State-of-the-art technologies complement the traditional work sensibly. Since February 2015, the domain has been certified with the "High Environmental Value" (HVE) - this status underlines the respectful treatment of nature that William Fevré has committed himself to.
Every little step of the wine-making process is carried out with care and precision, because this is the only way to produce the excellent wines that the name William Fèvre stands for.
