Flor de Caña
In 1890, Francisco Pellas founded the first rum distillery in the country. A short time later, he let small quantities of rum ripen in wooden barrels.
The business with the high quality rums ran so well that the family Pellas founded the Compañia Licorera de Nicaragua in 1937 and is until today with the brand Flor de Caña completely prescribed to the production of high-quality spirits. Even today, the company is still family-owned, now in the 5th generation.
Rums of Flor de Caña are the highest-ranked rums in the world with more than 150 international awards. This success is based on a strict quality control during the entire production process and the highest demands.
