Grandarella Refosco delle Venezie 2014 - Masi Agricola
The Grandarella from Masi Agricola presents itself intensely dark red in the glass. On the nose, it develops a bouquet of aromatic and dried herbs and vanilla, complemented by fruity notes of red fruits. On the palate it is full-bodied, complex and balanced, with noticeable notes of blueberries, plums, cinnamon and spices. In the finish this Italian red wine closes with a dry and juicy fruity finish.
Vinification of the Grandarella from Masi Agricola
The name Grandarella already refers to the special production method of this wine: grano = grape berry and arella, the traditional drying device for the grapes. The red wine Grandarella is made from the autochthonous grape variety Refosco from the regions Veneto and Friuli in Italy with the Appassimento method. The air drying of the grapes achieves a higher concentration of the must, making the wine more complex, dense and heavy.

This intense red wine from northern Italy is an excellent accompaniment to red meat dishes, grilled or roasted, with all kinds of game and tasty and spicy cheeses, or even solo at the end of a meal.
