Little Constantia - Pearl at the Cape
The Klein Constantia Winery is located on a narrow promontory at the southern cape on the back of Table Mountain. The rather cool Constantia region is the cradle of South African viticulture. In the 1980s, the Jooste family acquired the historic winery and lovingly restored it and was able to revive its former reputation.
With great respect and enthusiasm, today's wine maker Adam Mason faces the challenge of continuing the tradition of the first mentioned winery mentioned in 1817. Today, Klein Constantia is not only famous for its beauty, but also as one of South Africa's emerging crus, for example the famous dessert wine "Vin de Constance", which has been around since 1791 and is one of the most outstanding wines in the world. After a long and intense research, the Jooste family brought this legend back to life after a few decades of forgetting this wine. In the meantime, praise has been poured on the Vin de Constance from all sides.
