This single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon with its intense, deep dark ruby red colour is a homage to the Manso de Velasco - the famous Spanish governor and founder of the city of Cúrico.

The Manso de Velasco Cabernet Sauvignon from Miguel Torres Chile spoils you with an exquisite, fruity spicy bouquet that reveals the classic aromas of blackberries, wild berry jam, fine leather notes and ripe dark fruits. Powerful and uniquely elegant at the same time, this Chilean red wine presents itself on the palate. The taste is crowned by a velvety mature tannin and a wonderfully long, persistent aftertaste with aromatic aftertaste of spices, fine toasted notes and dark fruit.

Vinification of Torres Cabernet Sauvignon Manso de Velasco

At the beginning of May the careful harvesting of the grapes begins in the Valle de Curico. The grapes are immediately taken to the cellar where they are strictly selected. Then the mash is fermented in stainless steel tanks for 7 days at 30 degrees Celsius. This wine is then left for a few weeks in the tanks on the skins of the berries, so that the colour, the various aromas and the tannins can be removed in a gentle way. Finally, this wine is drawn off and matures for a total of 18 months in barrels of French Nevers oak (70% new wood).
