Tenute Donna Olga
The Donna Olga Winery
The Donna Olga winery, located near the old town of Montalcino in Tuscany, is run by the name giver Olga Peluso Centolani. A young woman from the Tuscan wine-growing family, who passionately cultivates her small but fine terraced plots of vineyard. The 4 hectares of vineyards are 100 percent planted with pure Sangiovese clones and a density of 6500 vines per hectare. The vineyards are situated in a picturesque landscape at an altitude between 270 and 400 metres above sea level.
The combination brings success
The grapes from the higher Donna Olga vineyards contribute the lively acidity and the rich aroma of the lower Donna Olga vineyards, while the tannins and polyphenols, which are responsible for storage, contribute to the lower vineyards. The combination of both ensures a well-balanced Brunello di Montalcino made from 100% Sangiovese grapes.
