The Willi Bründlmayer Winery
The vineyard Bründlmayer im Kamptal is located in Langenlois, 70 km northwest of Vienna, upstream in the Lower Austrian Kamptal. The Bründlmayer family produces wine on about 70 hectares of vineyards - mostly planted in terraces on dry, mostly stony soils, which produce little but higher quality yields.
The vineyards as capital
The wooded hills of the Waldviertel protect the vineyards from icy northwestern winds. During the day the sun heats the stony terraces, at night the fresh, spicy forest air seeps through the Kamptal valley into the arena of Langenlois. The combination of hot days and cool nights, the unification of the Danube and Kamptal valleys, the geological and climatic diversity of the vineyards and finally dsas craftsmanship characterize the award-winning wines of Bründlmayer.
Rudolf Steurer, author of the renowned "Austrian Wine Guide" to the Bründlmayer Winery, writes:"These wines are considered by connoisseurs to be one of Austria's best wines because of their inimitable depth and refinement and are also among the most durable in Austria...".
