Weingut Korrell Johanneshof
For more than 250 years in Bad Kreuznach
The Korrell winery is located in the German wine-growing region Nahe, more precisely in the municipality of Bad Kreuznach. The Korrell family is originally from Spain and ran a mixed agricultural business for more than 250 years.
The part of the name Johanneshof can be traced back to Johannes Korrell. He was the first in the Korrell family to start with winegrowing.
In 1967 Wilfried Korrell changed the business to exclusively viticulture. Today the 6th generation of the family - Martin and Britta Korrell - manages the Korrell Winery.
The vineyards and sites
The Korrell Winery cultivates a total of 26 hectares of vineyards - of which the individual sites are Paradies, Rosenberg and St. Martin (Kreuznach), Kirschheck (Norheim), Klamm (Niederhausen), and In den Felsen and Königsfels (Schloßböckelheim).
The vineyards of the Korrell estate are planted with the following grape varieties, among others:
White wine varieties
- Pinot Blanc
- Pinot Gris
Red wine varieties
- Pinot Noir
- Early Burgundy
The winemaker and his motto
Martin Korrell works and lives day after day according to the motto "less is more". He concentrates fully on the essential things and does what he does best. This attitude towards life is also reflected in the collections of Korrell. Martin Korrell finds the perfect balance, expressiveness and greatest depth in the few wines made from classic, sophisticated grape varieties.
